Benefits and schemes for Minorities by Govt of Maharashtra

Here are some of the Govt. benefits and schemes for Minorities by Govt of Maharashtra.

 

Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Yojana: Scheme: Coverage all expenses relating to hospitalization of beneficiary upto Rs. 1,50,000/- per family per year in any empanelled Hospital subject to package rates in cashless basis through health cards. Beneficiary Families: Those holding yellow ration card, Antyodaya Anna Yojana Card, Annapurna card and orange ration card. These would be identified through Rajiv Gandhi Jeevan health card issued by Govt of Maharashtra or based on yellow or orange card issued by Civil Supplies Dept. The scheme would provide 972 surgeries / therapies / procedures along with 121 follow up packages in 29 identified specialized categories. Surgeries related to heart, kidneys, lungs and other surgeries are covered under this Yojana. For detailed information contact yojana doctors at hospitals. 5 beds are reserved for this yojana at Godrej hospital. To avail of this Yojana one must contact the counter at hospitals with one’s ID proof, Adhar card, Pan card or voters ID card. Doctors at Yojana after going through reports will put your case for sanctioning. The procedure may take 8 to 24 hours. It is better to get the Yojana sanctioned and then admit. But if there is an emergency like heart attack you may admit the patient immediately, get the reports and then get the scheme sanctioned.  Any cash that you may have paid for admission, medicines, tests and other procedures before sanctioning will all be refunded at the time of discharge. Anthony Menezes from Sneha Kiran will be going for training programme organized by our Centre for Social Action on 20th Dec at Salvation Church Dadar. MAULANA AZAD SCHOLARSHIP FOR GIRLS: Eligible: Girls belonging to Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi community. Residents of Maharashtra state, studying in college Std XI, have secured not less than 55% marks in previous final examination, annual income of parents does not exceed 1 lakh. Last date for application: 30 Sept. Documents required: admission fee receipt, account in nationalized bank, adhar card, attested copy of SSC result by Principal of student’s college only, income declaration on 100 rupees stamped paper, 2 passport size photos attested by principal of college. Benefit: Scholarship amount `6000 per annum for Std XI and for Std XII. For details see:www.maef.nic.in.

POST MATRIC GOVT SCHOLARSHIP: Eligible: Boys and girls belonging to Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi community. Residents of Maharashtra state, studying presently in college XI to TY any stream, D. Ed, B. Ed, ITI, Vocational courses, M.Phil and PhD students from any year can apply provided they have got 50% or more marks in the previous final exam. Annual income of parents does not exceed 2 lakh rupees. Not given to more than 2 students in each family. Students should be regular in attendance. Students getting benefit of this scholarship cannot avail of benefits under any other scholarship for the same purpose. Last date for application: 30 Sept. Documents required: admission fee receipt, account in nationalized bank, adhar card, copy of result of previous year from SSC onwards, income declaration on 100 rupees stamped paper, 2 passport size photos. MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP: Eligible: Boys and girls belonging to Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi community. Residents of Maharashtra state, studying presently in Professional and Technical under graduate and post graduate courses, BE, BTech, M Tech, BSc, MSC, nursing, MBBS, Cement Technology, Fashion Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management, MCA, MBA, MMS, LLB, LLM, CA, CS, ICWA etc. Students who have secured 50% or more marks in previous final exam. 30% reserved for girls, annual income of parents does not exceed 2.5 lakhs, Students regular in attendance, Students getting benefit of this scholarship cannot avail of benefits under any other scholarship for the same purpose. Last date for application: 30 Sept. Documents required: admission fee receipt, account in nationalized bank, adhar card, copy of result of previous year from SSC onwards, income declaration on 100 rupees stamped paper, passport size photos. MAHARASHTRA STATE GOVT SCHOLARSHIP: Boys and girls belonging to Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi community. Residents of Maharashtra state, studying presently in Professional and Technical education post HSc courses in Arts Science and Commerce. Eligible: domicile in Maharashtra State, passed SSC from Maharashtra, does not get any other scholarship, total income of family not more than 2.5 lakhs, for renewal applicant must have admitted in next year, 30% reserved for girl students. Documents: passport size photo, attested certificates SSC onwards, income cert from employer, school leaving certificate, proof of permanent address – attested copy of domicile certificate, ration card, electricity bill, telephone bill, passport, election card etc. Advance receipt of payment. POST GRADUATE INDIRA GANDHI SCHOLARSHIP FOR SINGLE GIRL CHILD: Eligible: only Single girl child (if family has one son and one daughter then the girl child is not considered), taken admission in regular full time 1st year Masters Degree course in any recognised university or post graduate college. This scholarship is available for Post graduate – I year student of non professional courses only. PG course in distance education not covered under this scheme. Girl student upto age of 30 years at time of PG course is eligible. Documents: submit application in prescribed on-line format only. Affidavit from student attested by SDM/First class Magistrate / Gazette officer, joining report from college or university where student has taken admission for post graduate course. Benefit: total scholarship `40,000/- for 2 years. Scholarship is `2000/- per month for a period of 2 years (10 month in a year) for details see: www.uge.ac.in/sgc
