The Fali Chothia Charitable Trust is now accepting applications for its 34th annual scholarship awards, the deadline for applications is Oct. 1. Scholarships are open to Zoroastrian students in North America enrolled in four-year or graduate-level programs. Awards are based on financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activity and community service. They are given as outright gifts or no- and low-interest loans.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 academic year, and can be downloaded here. The deadline for submitting applications is October 1, 2024. Emailed applications are NOT accepted. Please submit your application only after you have a current local address and a telephone number at your university.
Assistance is based on factors such as an applicant’s overall financial need, educational level and achievements, as well as community service — particularly among Zoroastrian communities. In addition to individual contributions, the fund receives support from a collaboration with the World Zoroastrian Organization (WZO). This collaboration enables the trust to provide more sizeable scholarships, and allows both organizations to further their goals of helping needy Zoroastrian students without duplicating efforts.
All donations made to the trust are tax-exempt, and go directly toward the corpus of the fund. Individual members of the Board of Trustees absorb all administrative, mailing, and other fund-raising costs. Donations may be made either online, or by a check made payable to ZAMWI – The Fali Chothia Charitable Trust and mailed to:
